Stark hails from Wild Winds German Shepherds in Arthur, Ontario Canada. It was with Kathy's guidance that Stark was choosen to come to Waterloo to live, learn and grown with me.
It has been quite the experience so far and our adventures have only just begun. Stark is being trained in Obedience, Tracking, Agility and Schutzhund. We also have hopes that Stark will be sucessfull in what his breed was meant to do - herd, in the future.
Stark is my first working line dog and will be my first trialing dog. I have had no experience in formal training before Stark except watching my father train our other dog (Beau a 13 year old German Shepherd) in agility; but we are both learning as we go and having so much fun doing it! We hope to obtain Stark's CGN (Canine Good Neighbour) by spring and start Rally-Obedience in the late spring, early summer.
Stark is a very serious puppy, always has been, but he does have a goofy side. He will pounce and jump on his toys for hours. He loves belly rubs and enjoys sitting on my lap for a cuddle. I think someone forgot to tell him that he was a German Shepherd, not a poodle.
Stark has nestled himself right in the middle of my heart amoung my two other fur-children; Tobbie and Dexter (cats). I am looking forward to learning, growing and loving this boy for the rest of his life.
